Hops and History in Port Angeles
with round-trip walk-on ferry

$57 USD PER PERSON*

Combine the Port Angeles Underground Tour with the Craft Beer Tasting for the perfect afternoon escape!

Get the dirt on the buried history of Port Angeles! Due to flooding concerns in the early 1900s, the citizens of Port Angeles worked out an incredible plan to elevate the city's downtown streets, creating a network of underground tunnels and storefronts. In this unbelievable feat of engineering many older buildings were lost, but a select few remain. The stories they have to tell are captivating.

The tour begins with a fascinating explanation of the history of the city and the tactics used to raise the city streets in 1914. Next, take a short stroll through downtown Port Angeles to visit rediscovered basements and long-forgotten tunnels during the underground portion of the tour. Stop in at the city's original movie theatre, and venture into a hidden brothel above the unassuming family shoe store.

Receive a pint each from 3 local brewers: Barhop Brewing, Next Door Gastropub and Station 51. Next Door Gastropub features a full bar, and their heart resides in the beer board, with 10 rotating taps. Comprised of ever-changing local and regional artisan beer, you can expect to see a new draught list each visit. They also take pub fare to the next level with an extensive menu featuring fresh, local ingredients.

Station 51 Taphouse is Port Angeles' newest beer stop, featuring 15 taps. It's a bar with enough room to play pool and dance, but still cozy enough to feel like home. Gather around the bar, stuff your face with a gourmet hot dog, and wash it down with a cold local craft beer.

Barhop Brewing brews small batch handcrafted micro-brews in Port Angeles. Their ales are made from fresh water from the Olympic Mountains and they have 9 taps featuring their own ales, as well as guest taps featuring other west coast breweries. Their goal is to create a comfortable, friendly environment serving great micro-brew in pints, pitchers or even to go in growlers.
